Ceratopteris cornuta

Ceratopteris cornuta (family Pteridaceae) is an aquatic fern from East Asia and apparently Africa as well. This plant is very similar to C. thalictroides but the foliage is not as fine and grows a bit larger. It is a fast growing plant so needs a good nutrient supply and CO2 and a good light source does also help. This plant can be grown both as a floating plant and a rooted plant. Plantlets form readily from the sporangia on the fertile leaves, these can be separated from the mother plant for propagation.
